My response to a stretch of the Kirkcudbrightshire coast where a cluster of small bays, filled with bright sand and drifts of unbroken shells, contrasts with jagged rocks which rise abruptly from the clear water just a few yards from the shore. The smaller rocks capped with mosses and flowers, the larger crowned with small trees.
